Ok, this Judge is PAID OFF OR CORRUPT! I don't care if he has years of experience and was the judge on the MCI/Worldcom bankruptcy case. Here are the key quotes from the story at the story linked to the pic below.
Here is the judge's acutal words
"Absent a car manufacturing business, the dealerships would not seem to serve any purpose for the debtor," Gonzalez said, but added there may be a case for the dealers to pursue damages.
EXCUSE ME!!! READ THAT AGAIN!!! I thought that bankruptcy was supposed to provide a fresh start when the business had made it abundantly clear that it is not trying to shut down. That's what he said to the dealers whose motion from NY and FL dealers. The story continues...
At Thursday's hearings, dealers from New York and Florida testified about the relative strength of their businesses in an attempt to show Chrysler was not closing its weakest locations.
Please see my blog entry about how the CEO of Chrysler testified under oath that the Whitehouse gave the dealer closing list. He did not testify on the criteria that was used to compile the list.
As for the Indiana Teacher Retirement fund motion of illegal and unconstitutional behavior, the judge dismissed that out of hand saying they had no standing (no reasonable cause).
